Our free renewable hybrid heating courses are ideal for engineers and installers looking to expand their knowledge into new low-carbon heating solutions. Our one-day course introduces the basics of hybrid system design and operation, showing how a range of Intergas products integrate to deliver efficient, sustainable home heating. Training takes place in several locations across the UK. Our HQ in Kidderminster is easily accessible from Worcester and the wider West Midlands region, while partner centres across the country are located in Basildon, Liverpool, Paignton and Wallsend. Each renewable hybrid heating course is a full-day, hands-on introductory session led by Intergas engineers. You’ll explore the fundamentals of how hybrid systems integrate traditional gas boilers with modern air source heat pumps, covering everything from setup and controls to best-practice installation methods. This broader introduction course focuses on understanding how hybrid systems work in practice, preparing you for our more advanced renewable courses, such as our dedicated hybrid and air source heat pump training sessions.
This course is perfect for plumbers, heating engineers and construction professionals interested in expanding their skills into renewable hybrid heating solutions. Whether you already install modern systems or are taking your first steps into renewables, this course offers a clear, practical introduction to modern hybrid systems, helping you future-proof your skills.
We keep our course sizes small, generally to eight people at most, to ensure each attendee gets plenty of hands-on time with the units. Our free session is ideal for both newcomers to this tech and experienced professionals who want a concise refresher on how hybrid and renewable heating systems work.
Xtend and Xceed are two of our cutting-edge renewable heating solutions for which we offer dedicated training courses, so you can build the right skills for each type of installation.
Xtend is our hybrid solution, available as both a split hybrid system and a monobloc hybrid system. Xtend pairs an Intergas combi boiler with a 5kW air source heat pump and can cut gas use by up to 82.5%.
Xceed is our all-electric air source heat pump for homes looking to move away from gas completely, and is available in several different variations (from 6kW up to 18kW) to suit any size of home or business.
As well as our Xtend hybrid air source heat pump course and Xceed air source heat pump training, we also offer a dedicated boiler installation course, all complementary and easy to book online.
Our renewable hybrid heating training runs year-round, so there is always a session available to suit your schedule. Courses are held at Intergas’ national HQ and training centre in Kidderminster, West Midlands, with easy access from Worcester and the wider region. We also host regular sessions at trusted partner centres across the UK, including Basildon in Essex, Liverpool, Paignton in Devon and Wallsend in Tyne and Wear, so our quality training is never far away.
All our training sessions typically run from 9am to around 4pm and include classroom learning, demonstrations and hands-on practical time too. There’s no limit to how many sessions you can book and they’re free. (A word of warning, one-to-ones are very popular and do get booked up quite quickly.)
