Cross over to the green side

Since the cost-of-living crisis took hold, Intergas training has increased its focus on energy and money-saving initiatives. Just last Spring, training manager Mike Hook, introduced Intergas Diagnostic Software (IDS) training to support installers in helping customers make significant savings through the addition of controls and relevant upgrades (such as low-flow taps and showerheads). Now, as decarbonisation of home heating becomes more critical, Mike has developed Cross-Over training, a deep and intuitive look into the Intergas hybrid solution for gas engineers who want to know about sustainable solutions without stepping too far out of their comfort zone. This particular training day has reduced boiler content, covers the fundamentals of heat pump technology and introduces the Xtend – an air to water heat pump (ASHP) for heating and combi boiler for hot water – and demonstrates how the heat pump works in conjunction with the Intergas boiler range.

Speaking about the course, Mike said: ‘Since last September I’d been noticing that a number of gas installers who had an interest in what the hybrid system had to offer, were reluctant to attend an in-depth training day; this course is the solution which is evidenced by the growing demand for training places.’
