Help raise £1 million for food banks at Christmas

Christmas is a time when the roast turkey and its veggie equivalent are high on the list of things we look forward to every year. For many people, and for a variety of reasons, the Christmas lunch just won’t happen, among many, many other things. If you’d like to help some of those families, especially over the festive period, then please click here (https://www.trusselltrust.org/get-involved/ways-to-give/) or read on, or both!

You may not have heard of the Trussell Trust, but it supports a nationwide network of food banks to provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty. But right now and up until Christmas, if you make a donation, it will be matched by a group of supporters up to a total of £500,000, which means £1 million could be raised, giving many more people a far better Christmas than they were expecting.

More than 14 million people in the UK live below the poverty line. Every person’s struggle with poverty is different and it takes more than food to end hunger, and the Trust brings together  experiences of food banks in the network, and their communities, to challenge the issues that lock people in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
