Step 1: Choose a System and Installer

Installing an air source heat pump starts with selecting the right system for your home and finding you a MCS-registered installer. We’ll ask you for some details about your property so we can check if an air source heat pump is suitable. We’ll also calculate the appropriate size and power of the system for your home based on heat loss projections. With the right heat pump installation selected, we’ll connect you with an Intergas-trusted, MCS-accredited installer.

Step 2: Heat Pump Installation

Once we’ve determined the best Xceed air source heat pump for your home and paired you with an installer, your installation will be scheduled. Heat pump replacement or installation is a straightforward process, especially with our monobloc systems. Your installer will need to fit an external unit outside your home and an internal unit inside, which will need to be connected to one another.

Step 3: System Activation

After your air source heat pump installation, your system will need to be activated and tested. Your installer will ensure everything is connected safely and as per our recommendations, before thoroughly testing your heat pump to make sure everything is working as intended. Once activated, your Xceed heat pump will be covered by our five-year warranty for complete peace of mind.

What Else Do I Need to Know About Air Source Heat Pump Installations?

Choosing to install a heat pump is an investment in the value and carbon footprint of your home. Able to be powered by entirely renewable energy, without the need for fossil fuels, heat pumps are up to 300% more efficient than gas boilers.

Until 2028, the UK government is offering grants of up to £7,500 towards the cost of heat pump installation. The installation process should take no longer than a few days, unless your home requires additional adaptations such as larger radiators. The best way to find out which system best suits your property and whether you need any other modifications is to contact our expert team.

Finding An Air Source
Heat Pump Installer

Getting the most out of your air source heat pump installation means finding the right installer. There are a few key things you should look out for when selecting an installer:

  • Manufacturer and installer: there are plenty of third party installers, but manufacturer installation reduces the chance of errors
  • MCS-accreditation: accreditation from the MCS means your heat pump is eligible for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme
  • Experience: determine how experienced your chosen installer is, and how reliable they are likely to be
