Mont Ventoux Challenge

Ever fancied a French cycling holiday? What about covering around 620 miles, from Ouistreham in Normandy all the way to the top of Mont Ventoux in the Alps? Well the teams from Polypipe Building Products and Wolseley UK did, and we were delighted to sponsor them. Earlier this month Gary Foord of Polypipe Building Products, Keith Driscoll of  Wolseley UK, David Right of Right Gas and Paul Needham of Hi Tec Heating took part in the Mont Ventoux Challenge, spending four days cycling the route, 18 miles of which was uphill, with an average gradient of 7.15% and a maximum gradient of 10.9%. Their efforts raised almost £2,500 for their charities: Challenge Adventure Charities and Help for Heroes. (Polypipe Building Products has partnered with Help for Heroes, raising money not only through fundraising like this, but also through its select endorsed product, where 79p from each sale goes directly to Help for Heroes.) Congratulations to the teams on completing a truly gruelling ride and providing funds for two great causes.
