Beast from the East… the return!

Gas Safety Week began in 2011 with the aim of raising consumer awareness of gas safety and the importance of taking care of gas appliances. This year’s campaign, which ended last Sunday, put vulnerable people at its heart, and we were delighted to support it with our own social media campaign. As we all know, gas safety’s a year-round responsibility and, with another Beast from the East due to return next January and February, making sure the elderly and infirm are safe is a priority. Remember how difficult it was just to get to people’s homes to carry out any repairs last year? This is a particularly busy time for installers and it’s going to get busier, but knowing that freezing temperatures are heading our way again, it would be worth reminding your customers that if they have any heating issues, or their boiler service is overdue, now’s the time to get it sorted. No one should be without heat or hot water when the Beast arrives.
