Troubleshooting

Every so often faults may occur. It’s never nice when they do, but our troubleshooting guide explains some of the possible causes. Click the relevant issue to find an explanation. Please contact your installer to help rectify a fault if you can’t solve it on your own.

What should I do if the screen is blank?

If your Comfort Touch’s screen is blank, then it’s not getting any power. Plug in your boiler and check the cables and connection to the thermostat.

What should I do if I only see a dot on my Comfort Touch?

It’s up to you whether you want your Comfort Touch to display a fixed room temperature, or not. Adjust this setting on your Comfort Touch’s configuration screen. Press the ‘+’ and ‘–’ symbols simultaneously for two seconds to enter this configuration screen. Using the ‘+’ and ‘–’ symbols, advance to the ‘Stby’ screen. Select either ‘On’ (room temperature displayed by default) or ‘Off’ (room temperature hidden by default).

What does it mean if I see a flame symbol on my Comfort Touch?

The flame symbol means your boiler is currently heating.

What does it mean if I see a flashing 'F' on my Comfort Touch?

This means the boiler has a fault. The ‘F’ symbol may or may not be followed by either a single- or double-digit code. Please consult your boiler’s user manual for an explanation of this fault code. Please contact your installer if this doesn’t resolve your problem.
